"NOTHING IS REAL" March 2011: Last year, Disney intended to remake The Beatles' 1968 animated movie, Yellow Submarine. Director Robert Zemeckis had been hired to head the film development using the latest technologies in 3D, hence its title of Yellow Submarine 3D. Disney assigned the project to ImageMovers Digital, Disney's state-of-the-art performance capture animation studio which is operated in conjunction with Zemeckis and his partners. Zemeckis had cast Cary Elwes to play George Harrison, Dean Lennox Kelly to play John Lennon, Peter Serafinowicz to play Paul McCartney and Adam Campbell to play Ringo Starr. (See images below)

Disney has decided to drop the project. Good news is Zemikis is free to shop the film project around to other studios, so there's a chance it will eventually be made. As of right now, he's going to regroup and figure out what his next movie will be. Of course most Yellow Submarine fans were interested in seeing what Zemekis' vision for this film was..."it's all in the mind, you know".
